JAMIE F. DEREMIAH

Jamie was born and raised in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating from Dowling Catholic High School in 2001, he attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and in 2005, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Philosophy and History. In 2008, Jamie graduated from Drake University Law School and was admitted to the Iowa bar. During law school, Jamie clerked for both a general practice law firm and a national healthcare law firm, both of which provided him with rich experience in both the corporate legal world and many aspects of civil litigation. Following graduation from Drake Law School, Jamie was hired as an associate at the healthcare law firm.
Since 2011, Jamie has specialized in criminal defense. Jamie has successfully negotiated beneficial outcomes for countless clients charged with a wide array of crimes, from OWI to first degree murder. But if there isn’t an agreement to be had, Jamie is at home in the courtroom. Jamie has criminal jury trial experience in many different types of cases including murder and attempted murder, domestic violence assault, felony theft, and even simple misdemeanor cases.
Although criminal defense is his specialty, Jamie has also recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of his clients in personal injury matters, including car accident injuries and contract disputes. Jamie loves the courtroom and is passionate about defending his clients’ rights. Jamie is licensed to practice in all state courts of Iowa, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Iowa.
JESSICA A. MILLAGE

A lifelong resident of central Iowa, Jessica obtained her bachelor’s degree at Grandview University before attending law school at Drake University in Des Moines and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2004. After four years with a nonprofit agency representing children involved in the court system, Jessica entered private practice and has since gained experience in civil and domestic litigation, criminal defense, guardianship matters and adoptions. She has continued to focus primarily on child custody and criminal defense work, as well as adoptions and appellate advocacy.
With two decades of experience, Jessica combines legal expertise with common sense solutions, allowing her to provide counsel that protects both the client’s legal interests and personal objectives. She is also a skilled litigator, representing clients statewide in complex cases and earning favorable outcomes. Understanding that protection of legal rights is just as important outside the courthouse, Jessica has advised clients through abuse investigations and loss or suspension of professional licenses.
Jessica is also a member of the C. Edwin Moore Inn of Court, and the Iowa Association of Justice.
